This is an excellent specimen tooth of the horse Equus przewalskii from southeast Russia. Equus przewalskii is a member of the Order , Family .
The teeth were found near Khabarovsk Krai, Eastern Russia.near the Buotama River. This area has deposits dating from the Late Pleistocene period, rich in fossils of the bones of mammoths, woolly rhinoceroses, bison and ancient horses.
This excellent specimen with full root attached measures approximately 3 1/4 inches long by 1 3/16 inches wide by 3/4 inch thick. Sorry, shadows are obvious as pictures were taken in sunlight!
